Alyosha is a 50-ft sailing catamaran built by St. Francis Marina in Cape Town South Safrica. It’s captain, Steve Butz, just finished sailing Alyosha around the world this spring, traveling more than 30,000 nautical miles and spending as many as 29 days at sea!
Book your team of up to 12 people for an incredible afternoon or evening sailing Baltimore’s Patapsco River.
We will set sail from Captain James Landing, a hidden gem all its own where some of the best crabs in Baltimore can be found. From there, we will head out on the Patapsco River immediately to find some wind and sailing!
On the way out there is plenty to catch the eye, including all of the sights and sounds of a working harbor. One spectacular highlight will be passing by Fort McHenry and possibly sailing underneath the Key Bridge. If conditions allow we will put up a spinnaker- the big, colorful sail that simply catches the wind and inspires awe in passengers and spectators alike- you will not forget the amazing photos you can capture! On the way back, we will be sure to duck in to both the historic Fell's Point waterfront area- well know for its shops and bars AND the iconic Inner Harbor, where thousands of residents and tourists flock during the warm summer months to enjoy the water front.
Alyosha has ample deck space for your group as well as interior space for snacks and refreshments. There are two bathrooms dedicated to charter guests.
